Mission Statement of NAMI Warren County

The mission of NAMI Warren County is to offer hope and help to people affected by mental illness. We provide support, advocacy, and education to increase understanding, reduce stigma and promote a community in which the opportunity for recovery is maximized.

Stigma Busting Stroll Banner

Thanks to all who participated and walked in NAMI Warren County's Second Annual Fundraising Walk -- the Stigma Busting Stroll-- on Saturday, October 2 at Harmon Park in Lebanon. We raised almost $8000 for education, support, and advocacy for people and families affected by mental illnesses. Thanks to all walkers and supporters especially LCNB, Minuteman Press, Local 12 WKRC, The Dadas Family, The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Senour-Flaherty Insurance, The Medicine Shoppe, Skyline Chili-Middletown, Destiny Hospice, Ghent Manufacturing, Krogers, Meijer's Wal-mart, GFS Marketplace, Starbucks, Always Best Care of NE Cincinnati, and Home Instead Senior Care.

We hope you'll all come back and support us again next year.

The Walk’s purpose is twofold: increasing mental health awareness and fundraising. Our walk will be the largest mental health awareness event held in Warren County.

Funds raised help NAMI provide advocacy, outreach, education and support to anyone whose life is impacted by a mental health disorder. We also work to eradicate stigma and to promote an excellent community mental health system.

The Walks’ success depends entirely on the support of people like you from all walks of life – businesses, church groups, schools, police, fire fighters, family members, mental health consumers and providers, politicians, and everyone who recognizes the importance of access to mental health care.

Each year more families, children, babies in strollers, and dogs of all shapes and sizes, participate in our walks. And we have fun for all: face painting, balloons, music, food, even snacks for pets.

You can participate in the NAMI Walks by signing up online. You can also contact us by phone/email for more information. Contact Roz Dadas, 513-695-0365 or email: rdadas@nami-wc.org
